The energy collective is a research project to demonstrate a p2p energy market in a community of positive energy houses, with solar panels, geothermic heat pump and electrical vehicles.
The project is taking place within the community called Svalin, located near Roskilde in Denmark. The project was started in May 2017 and will run initially for three years.
The project is experimenting with different p2p technologies to enable a microgrid and has sofar been working with https://ethereum.org smartcontracts to enable neighbors to purchase a local token being used within the community as well as using https://raiden.network/ to make efficient payments between houses.
